Things Are Looking Up
Things are looking up. It took another month and a lowering of our asking price, but we've sold our house again and this time it appears that all will go well. We even like this couple better than the last and I know they're going to love this neighborhood. In a couple of days we'll be signing the Purchase and Sale Agreement so it should all proceed smoothly from that point on.
So next week we're set to move out of here. The packing crew will be here on Monday and the truck will be loaded on Tuesday. Then it's west to California for us. We plan to make six stops along the way and hopefully will beat the truck to our destination in San Diego.
Everything is set for our arrival there. We bought our condominium six years ago and spent some time renovating it. The utilities have been turned on and we've even selected the cable tv package we'll be ordering. We're in the process of changing our address with people and businesses and now we just have to make sure we know where we're going to put everything.
Moving can be traumatic, but we've done it a lot and learned something new with each move. The biggest thing to remember is to be as organized as possible. Preparation is pretty important and it sure helps to have a new home ready before you leave the old one. Somehow, though, I suspect I've probably overlooked a few things and I'm still not sure that everything we're taking with us will fit into the new place. Time will tell.
